An MVP of my very own
What is an MVP? It is a most valuable player of a sports team or a league. Simple as that.

Anna was telling me how happy she is that she’s learning some new math skills. Getting better but not fully there. “Yet.” I praised her positive attitude, saying, “I LOVE that word! Yet.That’s a great word!”
Hope, future rewards, victory to come, goals to be attained step by step. “Yet.” Nice.
This afternoon we had to go into B’ham because of a problem with Anna’s eyeglasses. Of course, driving into B’ham means going over the big mountain. As we were driving up, up, up Anna says, “Sometimes when we’re going up Oak Mountain and we’re so close to the edge, I feel like we’re going to fall off.” She was referring to OM State Park and the narrow road up to Peavine Falls. It climbs the mountain all the way to the top.
Fear. Nasty word. I won’t allow my precious babies to fear. But I don’t want to overreact. (Another wonderful word – balance.) So I lightheartedly said, “Well we never have, right?”
I hear, “No.”
Then I hear, “Yet.” ( Yes, the dramatic pause was included. Thank you, Raven.)
Aaaaarrrrgggghhhhh!!!!!!!! Of course that pushed my buttons inside, but I still don’t want to overreact. So I laughingly reply, “Ugh! Now I don’t like that word anymore! We’re throwing it away!”
From the seat behind me I hear a little voice snicker and sing, “Not YET.”
Here is an interesting poem I am sure you have read before somewhere.
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.
